Going nuts about Knots
Knots are earned by training and tenure serving in Scouting. If you're trained for your position and have
the tenure for the various knots, you could be eligible for a knot. If not take a look and see what is required to earn knots related
to your position in Scouting. Click here for more info. A trained leader proves
that they are "doing their best" to serve their youth in scouting.

Spring Wood Badge 2012 S4-83-12-1
March 2-4, 2012 and March 23-25,2012 at Camp Lanoche
Wood Badge has become the most advanced leadership training course in Scouting! In this course, Scouters learn practical leadership skills in a lecture-practice format. The skills taught are applicable to every leader and provide a common foundation for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venture programs. The first part of the course utilizes a classroom environment and practical exercises to teach the essentials of leadership. You’ll learn what makes leadership “work,” and how to make it work for you and in your unit. Later, a combination of classroom and outdoor settings help you learn to apply those skills to make you function better as a team. Finally, you will have an opportunity to state your goals as a leader and put into motion a plan to achieve those goals.
