How to Find a Venturing Consultant
A consultant is a person who is proficient, skilled, and/or certified in one of the Venturing skills. They provide exposure to the techniques applicable to that skill and provide information on where to obtain the necessary resources for performing that skill in a Venturing crew or ship or Boy Scout troop.

Wood Badge Fall 2014 S4-83-14-2
September 19-21 and October 3-5
Wood Badge is the most advanced leadership training course in Scouting! In this course, Scouters learn practical leadership skills in a lecture-practice format. The skills taught are applicable to every leader and provide a common foundation for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venture programs. The first part of the course utilizes a classroom environment and practical exercises to teach the essentials of leadership. You’ll learn what makes leadership “work,” and how to make it work for you and in your unit. Later, a combination of classroom and outdoor settings help you learn to apply those skills to make you function better as a team. Finally, you will have an opportunity to state your goals as a leader and put into motion a plan to achieve those goals.
